A small apartment with a patio, located in a neighborhood with refugee settlements from the previous century, has been redesigned to provide housing for two. A custom designed structure made of colorful wooden panels and metal elements has taken the place of the demolished old brick wall in order to serve as the main separation element between the bedroom and the living room, thus letting more daylight into the apartment. The old terrazzo flooring has been maintained while a bright blue color has been chosen for the open kitchen’s bespoke cabinets.
